Welcome to our first ACA electronic Access Insight magazine!
It feels like time has just flown by since we launched the very first issue of Access Insight in 2017. We have come a long way since then, and with the launch of the new ACA website it is fitting that we also move to an electronic format for our Access Insight magazine as well. On behalf of the ACA Management Committee, I would like to thank Michelle Grice from Shel Design for her attention to detail in producing accessible formats of Access Insight for the past 7 years.
By now, all members would have received their new ACA logos. Please ensure that the terms of use of the logos are followed. A copy of the same can be found on the ACA website.
The new ACA website is live! Special thanks to Bruce Bromley, who has spent hundreds of hours to get this up and running. Without his guidance and leadership this herculean task would not have been possible. The website is in testing mode, so please update your details on the same and provide us with a list of any suggestions to our administration officer Liz Bray on [email protected]. Liz will also be able to offer support via phone on 0493 100 306. The CPD points will not be transferred but it is expected that the Accredited and Associate members will start logging on their CPD points on the new website from 1st of July 2024 for the new financial year.
Our ACA mentoring sessions have also been scheduled with topics ranging from Report writing, Adaptable / Livable / Universal Housing, Access to Premises Standards, Vision and Luminance contrast and Performance Solutions. Special thanks to Lindsay Perry, for running these mentoring sessions. The sessions will be limited to 20 participants (ACA Associate or Affiliate members) that are new to mentoring.
