Jenny Spinak
Access Consultant
Jenny Spinak is a qualified Access Consultant with over 25 years’ experience in the field of disability services as well as accessibility.
Early in her career Jenny managed various disability services across the areas of respite care, supported employment, community access and early intervention. Jenny also worked for local government developing local disability services to meet the needs of residents with disability. Here Jenny worked on establishing accessible transport options and Access DCPs, implementing accessibility upgrades across infrastructure and facilities and running local Access Committee's as well as business accessibility incentive initiatives.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Jenny spent 18 years as Accessibility Manager at Sydney Opera House, as part of the Visitor Experience Senior Leadership team. In this role, Jenny was key in driving accessibility improvements to the building, site and facilities, as well as establishing an annual Opera House Access Program of accessible events, performances and workshops, recognised for its innovation and excellence in the field.
Jenny brings a breadth of experience in planning for, and implementing accessibility strategies across commercial, recruitment, performances and major events, visitor experiences as well as large-scale capital works and infrastructure projects, fit-outs and refurbishments.
Qualifications
• Certificate IV in Access Consulting (Institute of Access Training)
• Certificate of Accreditation Test (Access Consultants Association of Australia - ACAA).
