I completed my Cert IV in Access Consulting in 2023 and have been working with a building consulting, surveying and certification company in their DDA team. I was previously working as a lawyer in human rights and social justice and specialised in the Racial Discrimination Act. Many of my clients also had disabilities and suffered discrimination. I saw an injustice and wanted to assist in making their lives easier. I believe that prevention is better than remedy. My husband runs an Architectural firm, and I found a place where I could make a difference in creating safe and inclusive spaces and environments for all people. I intend to eventually become accredited as an Access Consultant.
