An accomplished consultant, leader, practitioner and facilitator with experience in government, the arts, not-for-profit and university sectors, Morwenna has worn the hats of CEO, Board Director, senior leadership team member, lecturer, researcher, trainer and advisor.
A specialist consultant in access, diversity, equity and inclusion, Morwenna is deeply committed to working towards a future where everyone has equal access to participate in arts and culture and in society more broadly. Morwenna is acknowledged as an agent for change, sought after nationally and internationally for her expertise and drive. She has worked closely to support a range of large and small organisations to help them improve their practices, acting as a critical friend, challenger and cheer leader. Each engagement leads to long-term positive impact, changing hearts and minds through her work on strategy, planning, policies, evaluation and through thought leadership, discussion and training.
Recent access consulting clients include Creative Australia, Taronga Zoo, Sydney Opera House, Arts Centre Melbourne, Maynard Design, National Gallery of Australia, 24 Hour Economy Commission, MONA and Dark Mofo, Sydney WorldPride, Musica Viva Australia, National Library of Australia, Opera Queensland and People With Disability Australia.
Morwenna has previously been the CEO of Accessible Arts and a Board Director of Arts Capital (venue organisation in the ACT). She is Chair of both the Sydney festival and Sydney Fringe Access Advisory Committees and a member of the Perth Festival Access Committee, as well as a member of The Inclusion Circle network.
In 2020, Morwenna completed a Churchill Fellowship, exploring inclusive music programs, venues and festivals which actively engage disabled people across the USA, UK and Ireland.
Her work is influenced by her own lived experience as a disabled musician.
