Evelyn Keng

Senior Access Consultant/Architect

With over 20 years of experience in the architectural industry, I have built a diverse portfolio spanning education, low-rise residential, and community buildings. In the latter part of my career, my focus has expanded to include commercial fit-outs, high-rise residential projects, as well as aged care, health care, and specialised disability accommodation (SDA) developments. My expertise covers the full project lifecycle—from feasibility studies, planning, and construction documentation to project management during the construction phase.

I have a strong track record of stakeholder engagement, particularly in SDA projects, collaborating with clients, their families, occupational therapists, carers, builders, and SDA providers throughout the briefing, planning, and design stages.

With my multifaceted background, the access projects I generally cover are large scale for example social and SDA apartments, education and community-related development. My wide range of project experience also provide me with the opportunity to deliver access consulting services that are innovative, practical, and tailored to a broad spectrum of client and user needs, ultimately leading to better project outcomes and more inclusive built environment.

In May 2024, I commenced the Diploma in Access Consulting with the Access Institute, which I completed in June 2025. Since November 2023, I have been employed at Architecture & Access as an Access Consultant/Senior Architect. In this role, I have developed specialist skills in providing advice on access to the built environment, and have gained comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and standards governing accessibility.
