Sophia is an accredited access consultant and registered landscape architect with over 18 years experience in the design and construction industries. She is also a registered LHA and SDA assessor. She has a particular interest in Universal Design and believes in the importance of creating places that are vibrant, engaging and safe regardless of the ability, age, or cultural/social background of the user. As an access consultant, she has worked on a wide range of projects across Australia from large-scale audits of universities, hospital campuses, and airports, to the design review of Defence projects, educational institutions, bus and train stations, office and retail developments, health care facilities, medium to high-density residential towers, and parks and public open spaces. Sophia is also experienced in writing performance solution reports and providing advice relating to client’s responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act, National Construction Code / Building Code of Australia, and related legislation and Standards.
