Mark nominated for the position of President of the association to continue the work of the organisation in advancing the profession of Access Consulting and accessibility of the built environment.
Mark has been an Access Consultant for more 20 years and is an inaugural member of the ACAA Committee.
- Mark will continue to actively support the CPD program established by ACAA and wherever possible foster education opportunities for members and non-members, including the development of Practice Notes.
- Mark will support the continuous improvement of the accreditation processes for Access Consultants to enable the delivery of quality advice by members and progress toward state and territory recognition of Access Consultants.
Mark is also a member of several Standards Australia committees for AS1428 (since 1997), Parking, Uniform Traffic Controls (signage and level railway crossings) and Lifts.
Other current roles include the chairperson of the NSW ACAA Network since March 2010, member of the City of Sydney Disability Inclusion Panel, chairperson of the Sydney Olympic Park Access Committee and Liveable Housing Australia Industry Reference Group.
