Conference Details

We look forward to seeing you next week at ACCESS2025 on Monday 13th October and/or Tuesday 14th October.  To make it a smooth and enjoyable experience for you, we would like to share some important event information.  Please ensure you read all of the information below before you make your way to the conference.

WHERE

ACCESS2025 conference is being held in the Main Hall at the Melbourne Town Hall, corner Swanston & Collins Streets.  Our Ushers will greet you via the entry points on Swanston Street.   

REGISTRATION

Monday & Tuesday registration opens 8am for an 8:50am conference start.

On arrival please make your way to the Registration Desk in the foyer of the Main Hall, you will be given your name badge and invited to make your way into the Main Hall for networking with exhibitors and other guests. 

On Monday, each place setting will be set with a Welcome Bag and Conference Program.
On Tuesday, for those guests first joining the conference, your Welcome Bag and Conference Program will be available for collection from the Registration Desk.

On Monday evening, registration and networking drinks will open 6:30pm for a 7:00pm seating with formalities to commence.

DRESS CODE & CLOAKING

The dress code for both the conference and the conference dinner is Business Casual.
A self cloaking coat stand will be located hear the Registration Desk and you are welcome to leave your coat in location using a ticket system.
If you are travelling and need to cloak luggage, we are able to offer space in the Condell Room.  Noting the Condell room may be unattended at times, and storage is at your own risk.

GETTING THERE

By Tram: The closest tram stop is Melbourne Town Hall/Collins Street (Stop #6) serviced by routes 109, 11, 12, 48. The next closest tram stop is City Square/Swanston Street (Stop #11) with routes 1, 16, 3, 5, 6, 64, 67, 72, 16.  All trams stop at Melbourne Town Hall.

By Train: The closest train station is Flinders Street Station, one block away.

By Bus: Several bus routes have stops near Melbourne Town Hall including routes: 200, 207, 220, 234, 250, 251, 302, 303, 304, 305, 318, 605, 905

Travelling by Car – On street parking:
There is limited time-restricted paid street parking on Collins Street including accessible parking.

INCLUSIVE EVENT DESIGN

ACCESS2025 will have the following supports in place to ensure all guests can enjoy a full experience of the conference:

Auslan: Two Auslan interpreters will attend for both days of the conference and the conference dinner.

Hearing Augmentation: A full room coverage hearing augmentation will be provided for both days of the conference and dinner. You will have nominated your request for this device at the time of booking your ticket and this will be ready for you upon arrival.

Closed Captions: Live captioning or speech-to-text services will be provided off-site by a qualified speech-to-text professional and delivered in real-time to projection screen for both days of the conference and the conference dinner.

Accessible Adult Change Facility: The City of Melbourne Town Hall includes an Accessible Adult Change Facility with a hoist and an adjustable height change facility. Venue provided ushers will support travel to and from this area – just ask one of our friendly Registration Team Members for more information.

Service Animal Relief Area: Placeable Solutions is proudly providing state of the art facilities for service animal relief.  Venue provided ushers will support travel to and from this area located outside in a secure area – just ask one of our friendly Registration Team Members for more information.

Sensory Lounge: ONCALL Australia is proudly outfitting the Condell Annex Room to present an ACCESS2025 exclusive Sensory Lounge for guests who need to reset. The City of Melbourne also has its own Quiet Space/Prayer Room/Parent Feeding Room next to the Condell Room, which is available to all guests of the Town Hall – though not exclusive to ACCESS2025, it remains accessible also.
