Most Australians don’t live in accessible homes, so many people who acquire a disability can’t return home until it is modified to suit their needs. Some people have to look for a new place to live. Either way, it takes time.
The Rapid Interim Housing prototype is a self-contained accessible housing unit that aims to provide temporary housing for someone who would otherwise be stuck in hospital, rehab or an aged care facility.
The prototype will be on display for you to explore at:
Steampacket Gardens, Eastern Beach, Geelong
Saturday 1 June & Sunday 2 June 2019, 10am to 4pm

The Summer Foundation is working with Oscar Building to design and manufacture this prototype. The project has been made possible with funding from the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).
