Welcome to the December 2025 issue of e-Access Insight
CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF ACA
This year marks 25 years since the incorporation of ACA, dedicated to promoting the rights of people with disability in the built environment.
For a quarter of a century, ACA has worked to ensure that buildings, public spaces, and infrastructure are designed with accessibility, dignity, and inclusion at their core. Our mission has always been clear: to champion universal design and to advocate for environments where every person can participate fully and equally.
Over these 25 years, we have:
- Influenced policy and Australian Standards to embed accessibility into planning and construction
- Raised awareness of the lived experiences of people with disability, ensuring their voices shape the environments we all share.
- Celebrated progress while continuing to challenge barriers that remain.
This milestone is not just about looking back—it is about renewing our commitment to a future where accessibility is not an afterthought, but a foundation of every design.
We thank our members, partners, and community advocates who have stood with us over these 25 years. Together, we will continue to build environments that uphold the rights of people with disability and enrich the lives of all.
