About Event
Eric Martin AM, ACA Accredited Access Consultant and Past President of ACA, will look at some of the key recent and emerging changes affecting accessibility and sanitary facilities under NCC 2025
The session will focus on what these changes mean in practice for access consultants with particular attention to the requirements that are often misunderstood or overlooked.
The webinar will cover:
- What are the arrangements in each State and Territory? – An overview of how accessibility requirements and recent changes are being implemented across Australia, and where there are important differences between jurisdictions.
- Livable Housing Design changes – What has changed, what the current requirements mean for housing design, and the practical implications for projects, including the new handbook.
- All-gender toilets – Understanding the changing approach to all-gender sanitary facilities and the accessibility considerations that need to be incorporated into their design.
- Other minor but important changes – which can have significant implications when incorporated into a project.
The aim is to provide a practical overview of the changes, highlight common areas of confusion, and help participants understand what they need to consider when reviewing or assessing projects under the NCC2025 requirements.
There will be opportunity for Q & A at the end of the webinar presentation
